New package of proposals being brought to truckers: Clark

By

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – A new proposal has been put together to try to end the truckers dispute at Port Metro Vancouver.

Premier Christy Clark says the province and the feds worked overnight on a set of proposals that are being taken to the truckers.

She tells us almost about every one of them fall under the federal government’s jurisdiction, and she’s calling on Ottawa to step up.

“We have to rely on the federal government to do their bit. We urgently, urgently need them to step up and make sure that we get this port open again,” says Clark.

Yesterday Prime Minister Stephen Harper told a business crowd in Vancouver the province had jurisdiction over the dispute.
