VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – IKEA Canada is voluntary recalling its children’s bed canopies due to a strangulation risk.
The company says there have been reports of children becoming entangled in the canopy, although there have been no reports of any injuries.
IKEA says the canopies have not been sold in stores since 2008 and customers will likely have had them for a while — or purchased them second-hand.
Customers can return the canopies for full refund.
The canopies were sold under the following names: Legendarisk, Minnen bed canopy set, Barnslig Boll, Minnen Brodyr, Himmel, Fabler, Tissla and KlÄmmig.
There were 7,497 pieces sold in Canada.
Customers who have further inquiries can contact IKEA toll-free at 1-800-661-9807.
