NDP MLA Mike Farnworth kicks off leadership campaign

PORT COQUITLAM (NEWS1130) – BC NDP leadership candidate Mike Farnworth got tough on the Liberal government at his latest campaign stop in Port Coquitlam today.

He called out Premier Christy Clark for not creating enough jobs.

Farnworth says over 12,000 people have left BC to find education and employment elsewhere.

He says part of that is because Alberta is doing a better job of training apprenticeships. “Not much is being created, in fact, we have the worst private-sector job creation record of any province in the country.”

Farnworth also took on the premier over the recent truckers agreements, claiming the premier is only interested in settling union negotiations when there is a photo op.
