Watch out for Easter scams: BBB

By

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – As people gear up for the big Easter weekend, the Better Business Bureau is warning to be on the lookout for scammers.

According to the BBB holiday weekends like this one are prime for fraudsters who are counting on the fact that people will be caught up in celebrations and excitements, letting their guard down.

It says people should be extra careful about things like receiving e-cards, donating to charities, and of course, the old favourite “You’ve won a Free trip!” scam.

The BBB says if something sounds a little too good to be true, it usually is.
