VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Vancouver Police have launched a website in the hopes of solving a few of the city’s many cold cases.
Deputy Chief Adam Palmer says they’re starting with eight murder cases spanning from 1991 to 2008, but notes there are many more unsolved crimes in the city. “Going back 40 years to 1974, right now we have 313 unsolved cases.”
“These cases were chosen for a number of reasons, including the families being supportive. They would very much like to see the person or persons responsible brought forward to justice to account for their actions.”
Police hope to get tips through VPDcoldcases.ca, Twitter and Facebook.
