SURREY (NEWS1130) – Police have seized credit cards, smartphones and passports linked to 55 break-ins from vehicles and in homes stretching from Squamish to Abbotsford.

Mounties say a man and woman who were arrested for stealing a Ford pickup in Surrey have been charged with multiple offences.

Insp. Peter Jadis, who is in charge of the provincial auto crime team IMPACT, says items that had been reported stolen were found in the vehicle.

Jadis says a search of a hotel room and a storage locker used by the couple uncovered more stolen goods including 40 sets of keys, mail and garage door openers.

Nineteen-year-old Brandon Cumming-Hobson has been charged with various counts including possession of stolen property, driving while prohibited and identity theft.

Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of 23-year-old Samantha Wooten, who has been charged with similar counts and failure to comply with a probation order.
