Attempted sex attack in Vancouver prompts public warning

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Vancouver Police are issuing a public warning after an attempted sex attack on the east side.

It happened shortly after 2:30 a.m.

A 30-year-old woman was walking on Rhodes Avenue near Kingsway.

The VPD says she was grabbed from behind, a man put his arm around her throat and threatened her.

The woman fought back and the man ran away.

He’s described as being white, 35 years old, five foot 10, 140 pounds. He has short blonde hair and a pockmarked face. He was wearing a black hoodie, white t-shirt, tan shorts and black shoes with caramel coloured soles.
