‘After-cuddles’ can boost your sex life and overall relationship: study

By

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Want to boost your relationship and your sex life? You might want to focus on the dessert rather than the main course!

Here’s a hint: We’re not actually talking about food.

A new study suggests people who spend more time with the post-coital cuddles, kisses, and caresses feel more satisfied with the activities that take place just before.

Lead author Amy Muise says it’s important to focus on the affection.

“Think about some of these more affectionate behaviours as being important for how satisfied you feel with the sex that you’re having with your romantic partner, as well as how satisfied you feel about the overall relationship.”

Got kids? Muise says the after-cuddles are even more important for couples who are parents. “Even though they spent less time, it seemed to matter more for them, in terms of their satisfaction.”

Research shows the average is 15 minutes of post-sex cuddling, but here’s a hint guys: if you’re looking at your watch it takes away from the effect.
