VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Vancouver Police are hoping you can help them find expensive items belonging to the Cirque du Soleil troupe that’s in town.

The theft happened on Saturday around 3:30 a.m.; three men broke into the tent on Pacific Boulevard and made off with a necklace and two masks.

The costume items, valued at $28,000, were created for the circus’ Totem production.

“We are appealing to the public to help us get the stolen costumes back, because the show must go on,” says Sergeant Randy Fincham.

They’re looking for a jewelled necklace, a black mask with a gold trim, and an ape mask. If you have any information, you’re asked to call Vancouver Police at 604-717-3321 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

The VPD has surveillance video of three men breaking into the tent, but haven’t identified them.
