CALGARY (NEWS1130) – The search for a missing Calgary couple and their 5 year old grandson enters day 14 as of Sunday.

The trio were last seen the evening of June 29th and were reported missing the next morning.

Even though there has been little progress in the investigation, police are staying positive the group will be found alive.

Calgarians are donning green ribbons in hope the Likneses and Nathan O’Brien be brought home safe and sound.

Many people are joining in on the “Green Ribbon” campaign, sending thoughts and prayers out to the family of the missing.

Kolby and Lolita, have hung a green ribbon on their door.

They say this missing persons case weighs heavy on the city.

“You think about it and you think about your own son, and what we’d do, what would it be like if he was snatched away from us,” says Kolby. “I mean it’s something every parent thinks of every day, but more when it happens in your general area.”

“I think it’s every parents worst nightmare, that something will happen to your child,” agrees Lolita.

The pair says when something like this happens so close to home, you don’t feel as safe, adding the situation makes you want to run home and hug your kids.

Police continue to go over every last detail in the Liknes home in Parkhill, as well as at the property northeast of Airdrie.
