Air Canada jet forced to return to YVR after take-off

By

RICHMOND (NEWS1130) – Folks well on their way from Vancouver to Sydney, Australia on an Air Canada flight last night ended up back at YVR before 5 a.m. today.

The jet departed at around midnight but had to turn around over the Pacific when it developed what the airline is calling a “water issue.”

Turns out the galleys and lavatories were dry and since it’s is a very long flight to Sydney, the decision was made to turn back and switch planes.

The flight has been rescheduled for 9:30 a.m. with another aircraft.
