Forget the person, focus on the issues in the civic election, suggests expert

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Still can’t decide who you are going to vote for tomorrow?

A leadership consultant and author has some advice that could help you out.

Michelle Ray comes from Australia, where voting is mandatory; not casting a ballot is out of the question.

But if you can’t figure out which candidate is going to your blessing, Ray tells Breakfast Television on CITY you should think about what’s important to you. “If you’re undecided, one of the things you can do is think about the issue rather than the person.”

The author of “Lead Yourself First” also says if you truly passionate about something you need to get out and vote instead of letting others decide the future of your city.

“If you have a strong character and feel strongly about something, I think it’s really important to have a voice and use your voice,” says Ray.

News1130 will have special election coverage tomorrow, starting 7 p.m., anchored by Jim Bennie. Our team of reporters will be stationed all over the Lower Mainland to bring you results.
