White Spot continues Christmas donating tradition

RICHMOND (NEWS1130) – Staff at the Kingsway and Richmond Centre locations are once again giving their time, tips, and proceeds to local charities.

White Spot President Warren Erhart says the holiday tradition has been a big success.

“Richmond Centre, over the last 12 years, has raised over $100,000 for the Richmond Hospital Foundation and then Kingsway, is a smaller restaurant, they’ve raised over $60,000 over the past 19 years for Variety.”

Erhart says the annual Christmas Day lunch is popular among staff.

“And actually ex-staff. Staff that went back to school, perhaps somewhere else, and came home for the holidays and they don one of our red t-shirts and have some fun that day as well. But also, a lot of guests have made this a part of their annual Christmas tradition.”

Erhart adds it’s such a popular event among staff that managers actually have to turn down requests to work Christmas Day.

Both locations are open from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the 25th.
