The BC brands we love the most

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – When it comes to BC brands, it seems a certain restaurant and a couple of retailers are getting high marks, but service providers don’t fair so highly.

For the second year in a row, BC Business Magazine and Ipsos have compiled a list of recognizable BC brands and how we feel about them.

White Spot, London Drugs and Save on Foods are tops, but BC Ferries and TransLink are at the bottom.

Lesli Boldt with Boldt Communications says people rely on BC Ferries and TransLink and therefore have high expectations.

“People interact with them every day. They really depend on these entities to get them to work and to get them across the Strait of Georgia. People have higher emotions associated with them. If they have a negative experience, it really stays with them.”

But Boldt insists the brands can rise from the ashes if they improve customer experience and deliver the level of service they’ve promised.

“Though, it’s not just about service experience. When it comes to ferries and TransLink, people are worried about the costs to travel.”

A company that was once revered but is now among the bottom brands is Lululemon. Boldt says she’s surprised by that and would love to know why it is people view it so negatively.
