Pedestrian dead after being hit in Vancouver

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – A woman is dead after an overnight crash in East Vancouver.
It happened at East 6th Avenue and Keith Drive around 11 p.m.
Police believe the 51-year-old was crossing the street when she was hit by an SUV. She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and later died.
The driver of the car stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police.
Investigators note conditions were dark and wet at the time of the crash; they don’t think speed or alcohol were factors.
