Free activities for kids in Metro Vancouver over Spring Break

By

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – It’s just the start of Spring Break for the kids and maybe you’re already out of ideas to keep them entertained.

But alas, there are some activities around Metro Vancouver that are free for kids, as long as there is a paying adult.

For a breath of fresh air, you can head over to Van Dusen Garden where you can find your way through the hedge maze, or stroll through 55 acres of plants from all over the world.

If staying indoors is your thing, you can blast off into space at the Surrey Museum and learn about the solar system through games or even dress up like an astronaut.

Anyone that’s looking to get creative can visit the Vancouver Art Gallery which is offering hands-on activities inspired by some of their exhibits.

Or if staying a bit closer to home is key, check out your local library for events throughout Spring Break.

Schools in most districts are closed for the next two weeks.
