Skiers, boarders warn others about dangerous conditions on North Shore mountains

NORTH VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) Skiers and snowboarders are going online to warn others about the lackluster conditions on North Shore mountains. They say the conditions are so terrible that their gear is getting ruined.

There are complaints about rocks and sticks all over the place with dirt showing through. Some worry people will be seriously hurt. Others accuse management at the mountain of opening when conditions aren’t good enough to avoid giving larger refunds to season pass holders.

Joffrey Koeman with Cypress calls that idea ridiculous and says they’ve had no complaints or reports of damage. “We’re opening for the people that want to be here. It has nothing to do with credits for next year. We’ll look at the season as a whole once it comes to an end.”

Grouse adds there have been no complaints of damage or injury at their hill either.
