VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Expect closures and delays on the Georgia Viaduct next month because of movie shoot.
Vancouver’s Ryan Reynolds will be in town filming his latest picture — Deadpool.
The executive producer says they chose Vancouver for budgetary reasons and because the viaduct will allow them to shoot a critical scene requiring the appearance of a highway overpass entering a major city.
It will be closed from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays from April 6 to April 16.
When filming completes at 3 p.m. — one lane will open to allow traffic to pass.
The Dunsmuir Viaduct won’t be affected.
The production will spend over $37 million dollars and will hire more than 1,000 people.
