VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Former corporal Benjamin (Monty) Robinson is expected to learn today whether he’ll be convicted or acquitted of perjury.
The former Mountie was charged along with three other officers, accused of lying at the public inquiry into the October 2007 Taser death of Robert Dziekanski at YVR airport.
The Crown argued the four officers colluded on a story to tell homicide investigators and then lied again at the public inquiry.
Constable Bill Bentley was acquitted of the perjury charge in 2013, while Constable Kwesi Millington was convicted on largely the same evidence earlier this year.
