SURREY (NEWS1130) – There has been more gun violence in Surrey, this time at 94th Avenue and 124th Street.
A number of shots were fired around 3 a.m. Neighbours also heard people arguing and cars driving erratically.
At about the same time, a man showed up at Surrey Memorial with stab wounds. There’s no word on the man’s condition.
Police are still looking into whether the two incidents are related.
Right now, RCMP say there’s nothing to suggest the shooting this morning is related to the ongoing turf war between low-level drug dealers in Surrey and Delta, but they’re not ruling out the possibility.
There have been nearly two dozen cases of shots fired in the area in the last two months, including one that killed a young man. Police have linked at least 14 cases to the turf war.
