Where in Metro Vancouver is the best place to start a small business?

METRO VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – The best place to start a small business in Metro Vancouver is Surrey, according to a credit union analysis of seven factors that contribute to a company’s success.
Vancity says “Surrey is the best place for aspiring entrepreneurs due to its growing population, affordable business and residential property and low costs of doing business.”
It also cites a “high level of family support” in Surrey. It and Langley Township are praised for their relatively low business taxes.
In second is Richmond, which is cited for having the best access to transportation. New Westminster and the two Langleys round out the top five.
The bottom five are the City of Vancouver, Port Moody, District of North Vancouver, White Rock, and West Vancouver.
Vancity notes that Vancouver and Burnaby have the region’s highest business taxes.
