Don’t have a Halloween costume yet? Fear not!

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – There are just two days to go until the big night, but if you don’t have your Halloween costume yet, there is still time to throw something together.

It doesn’t have to be complicated, says Rhona Segarra with The Party Bazaar.

She points out some of the most popular costumes this year are pretty simple. “Especially for the men. It appears that anything that’s funny seems to be where the men want to go. They want to things like hot dogs and ketchup bottles and silly things like that.”

All of those are easily put together and come in a pre-assembled kit.

Inflatable dinosaur costumes are also popular and easy.

For the ladies, she says the super hero theme is in, with a quick twist on an old favourite.

“For the women, stuff that’s sort of coquettish and mixed with a theme. So a Batgirl-type costume or the super hero in a pretty corset that has sequins and that kind of thing [is popular]. They’re taking the traditional super hero and making it pretty, as well.”

She suggests taking a standard in-the-box costume, and then putting your own touch on it.
