Amazon has an ethical and moral responsibility to stop selling Paul Bernardo's ebook: lawyer

TORONTO (NEWS 1130) – A growing chorus of condemnation has erupted on Amazon’s website, with people demanding the company pull an ebook written by schoolgirl killer Paul Bernardo from his prison cell.

Meantime the lawyer for the families of victims Kristen French and Leslie Mahaffey says Amazon has an ethical and moral responsibility to yank the self-published fictional ebook.

Irrespective of the law, Tim Danson says responsible corporate entities have a duty to make good-taste judgments.

According to the blurb on Amazon, the 631-page “A Mad World Order” involves a plot by a secret group to return Russia to a world power, ensnaring a man in machinations that involve the Russian Mafia and al-Qaida.

Neither Amazon nor Bernardo’s lawyer responded to repeated requests for comment.
