Overseas drug shipment tracked to Kelowna

KELOWNA (NEWS 1130) – Two people have been arrested at a Kelowna home after police followed a shipment of drugs from overseas.

Police say they believe the shipment contained 100 litres of a substance used to make GHB, and that it could have produced as many as 20-thousand doses of the drug, worth about two-hundred-thousand dollars on the street.

Police searched the property where the pair were arrested and found an industrial grade pill press, which investigators say was heavily contaminated with Fentanyl.

A 22-year-old Kelowna woman and a 28-year-old West Kelowna man were arrested and are now facing several charges.
