Tips to avoid packing on the pounds this Easter

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – From turkey to chocolate, it’s like a mix between Halloween and Christmas this weekend

It can be tough, creme filled eggs and chocolate bunnies. But remember, not all chocolate is created equal, the darker, the better says registered dietician Ali Chernoff.

“As long as you see 70 per cent or higher, than you are actually doing a good job because white chocolate is actually fake. It’s not real chocolate.”

When it comes to Easter dinner she says it’s all about portions and suggests trying to stick to turkey and vegetables if you can.

Make sure to keep hydrated as well and when it comes to kids, limit their intake of sweets.
