RICHMOND (NEWS 1130) – A woman who was blasted for having over a dozen distracted driving infractions in under five years has been banned from driving in BC.

Last month, Mounties issued a ticket to the driver who nearly crashed into a police cruiser, and then tweeted a photo of the woman’s other distracted driving convictions.

Less than a week later, she was pulled over in Vancouver for her 14th distracted driving ticket.

A ticket for distracted driving in BC is $167 and three penalty points — one of the lowest in the country. The provincial government has promised to announce tougher fines sometime this spring.
