SAANICH (NEWS 1130) – An arrest has been made after two significant arsons in Saanich that police say could have easily been deadly.
A Home Depot was torched during business hours in April, and a condo complex up the road was set ablaze just a couple of weeks ago.
“The fires caused a significant amount of damage to both of these areas,” explains Saanich Acting Sergeant Jereme Leslie.
“We’ve arrested a 57 year old Saanich man. He’s known to us, and we’re recommending two charges of arson to endanger life,”
No one was injured in either fire.
