COQUITLAM (NEWS 1130) – Mounties are calling the discovery of a body off a gravel road in Coquitlam this morning “suspicious” and now the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been called in.

A city worker reportedly saw some boots on Quarry Road and then a body not far away near a vehicle.

“The area surrounding the scene will be cordoned off for a significant amount of time. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team will be working in partnership with the Coquitlam RCMP,” says Coquitlam RCMP Sergeant Keith Schendel.

Police are trying to gather evidence from the area and say no other details will be released right now.
