Mounties raid Surrey pot shop

SURREY (NEWS 1130) – Mounties in Surrey say they’ve raided a pot shop on 152nd Street and 103rd Avenue.

Sergeant Alanna Dunlop says three people have been arrested and released, but otherwise is saying very little.

“It is a storefront location, and we’re conducting an investigation into controlled drugs and substances, and allegations they were possibly selling products with marijuana,” says Dunlop, who adds the sellers may have been giving pot products to underage people.

“Access to cannabis is only permitted under the terms and conditions set out in the Access To Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations. And storefronts selling marijuana are not authorized to sell cannabis for medical or any other purposes.”

She says they’ll be there for a while today.
