A royal expert thinks Will and Kate seemed to really love their time in Yukon

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) -The Duke and Duchess have headed home – flying back to Britain last night after a week-long trip to British Columbia.

Editor of Hello Magazine Alison Eastwood, has been following the Royals for years. She believes the couple really enjoyed seeing their two kids, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, playing with other children during the tea party at Government House in Victoria.

“They don’t get to do a lot of that at home. They were obviously very familiar with Government House,” says Eastwood. “They were probably seen running around on the grounds days earlier because that’s where they stayed for the whole trip. It’s was just lovely to see them acting like normal kids because that’s how William and Kate want to raise them.”

She adds the couple also seemed to really love their time in Yukon and appreciated the face-time they got with Canadians at all their stops. “You really saw Kate, especially, get very engaged. William was really blown away seeing the same train that his grandmother Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip had ridden on back in 1959.”

And she believes they will be back, with BC now holding a special place in the family’s heart.
