Man found naked cooking eggs in a strangers home

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – An intruder was found red-handed and bare naked inside of a Vancouver home.

A man was caught cooking without clothes in a stranger’s home near Cambie Street and King Edward Avenue on Tuesday night.

It happened at around 8:00pm and the man who actually lived in the home was watching TV in another room when Sgt Brian Montague says the suspect walked in.

“The door was closed but unlocked. So he walked in, took off his shoes, took off the rest of his clothing, walked into the kitchen, removed some eggs from the refrigerator and started making himself a meal.”

The suspect then ran off but was caught only a few blocks later.

He was arrested and charges of mischief and break-and-enter have been requested.

Montague says this isn’t the first case of a naked intruder heading into the kitchen.

“You’d think this has got to be pretty unusual,” he says. “It’s not the first time. Back in 2013, we had something happen with very similar circumstances, a naked man cooking eggs in someone else’s kitchen.”

He says drugs or mental health issues could have played a role in this and reminds everyone to keep their doors locked even when you are home.
