BURNABY (NEWS 1130) – Burnaby RCMP are asking for your help after a shooting on Rosser Avenue near Lougheed Highway at around 11:30 p.m. One car was hit by a bullet, but there were no injuries to the man who was inside the vehicle.

Staff Sgt Major John Buis says they are looking for any information they can get from the public. “Anything that anybody saw. People wandering around, cars lurking in the area or driving by several times in that area in that time.”

The intended victim is well known to police and Buis adds this appears to be a targeted attack. “There have been ongoing gang-related issues here in the Lower Mainland over the last few weeks. We’re not sure if it’s related to anything else in the Lower Mainland or if it’s something new that has come up.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the Burnaby RCMP at 604.294.7922 or Crime Stoppers at 1.800.222.TIPS.
