Two students stabbed at Abbotsford Secondary School

ABBOTSFORD (NEWS 1130) – Two people have been stabbed in Abbotsford at Abbotsford Secondary School.
Constable Ian MacDonald with Abbotsford Police says someone is in custody.
“The suspect was located, he was taken into custody, and he was transported away from the school shortly after we received the call.”
Both the secondary school and Abbotsford Junior are locked down.
Police are setting up a staging area for parents at the Abbotsford Arts Center on Crescent Way.
Abbotsford police have confirmed that both victims were students, but we still don’t know if the suspect is a student as well.
The Abbotsford School District released a statement on the incident:
“We are heartbroken by the incident at Abbotsford Senior Secondary school today. We are a very caring community and when one of use hurts, we all do. We were saddened to learn that 2 students were injured in this incident and were taken to hospital for their injuries. We are cooperating with the Abbotsford Police Department on this active investigation and will be providing updates as they become available.”
NEWS 1130 is aware of a video showing the purported stabbing. We will not be sharing the video.
