Shots fired in the Newton area of Surrey

RCMP believe this latest round of gunfire is targeted

No word on any suspects or arrests yet

SURREY (NEWS 1130) – Mounties in Surrey are hoping to speak to witnesses after shots were fired at a home around 121st Street and 68th Avenue on Tuesday night.

Officers responded at about 8 p.m. and found one man who had been hit, he was taken to the hospital but his injuries are not serious.
Police say this investigation is still in the early stages but they believe it’s a targeted hit. Members went door-to-door canvassing the neighbourhood and speaking with people to try and figure out what happened.

The Surrey RCMP Serious Crime Section has taken over the case. There have been more than 55 shootings or shots fired calls in Surrey so far this year.
