SURREY (NEWS 1130) – Very few details are being released after a body was found in Surrey this afternoon.

Based on initial observations RCMP say it is not clear what the cause of death is and there is no apparent risk to the public.

It was someone walking by the vehicle who noticed someone unresponsive inside.

The BC Coroners Service has been called.

RCMP will only say the area of King George Boulevard between 128th and 132nd Streets is closed for the time being as the investigation begins. Mounties say, at this time, the cause of death is unknown.

Drivers are being asked to avoid the area and you will be re-routed.
