ALDERGROVE (NEWS 1130) – Nearly a month after it happened, the Canada Border Services Agency is releasing details of a suspected meth seizure at the border.

It says on December 11th, a man trying to cross the Aldergrove border underwent a secondary security check. When agents checked his car they found a black suitcase in which they discovered about 31 kilograms of the drug.

The man was arrested right away by Langley Mounties.

“Every day our border services officers work diligently on the front lines to protect our communities and residents from those who try to smuggle illegal narcotics into Canada. I am proud to work alongside them,” says Bernie Pitura, Chief of Operations at the Aldergrove port of entry.

Anyone with information about suspicious cross-border activity is asked to call the CBSA Border Watch tipline at 1.888.502.9060.
