Province to extend HPV vaccination to boys

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The provincial government says BC provide the human papillomavirus vaccine to Grade 6 boys starting this September.
Just like with girls, it will be given in two doses, six months apart.
The Health Ministry says Gardasil 9 protects against nine types of HPV that cause numerous types of cancer.
It’s something some parents groups have been demanding for years.
