Scathing reviews of Trump’s Vancouver tower before it opens

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Vancouver’s Trump International Hotel and Tower has yet to open for business, but already people are reviewing their imaginary stays on Google, often using The Donald’s own insults against it.

However, will all the online backlash matter once the doors actually open?

“Look, nobody knows hotels like me, nobody. I build fantastic hotels. The best. Because I know people. All sorts of people. And they’re terrific. The best. And that’s why NATO is obsolete, because they don’t know hotels like I do. Let’s make hotels great again. Like me,” posts Cam Gray who gives the hotel a rating of one star.

“Stayed at this hotel over the weekend. It was the worst. A flaming pile of garbage. I know great hotels folks, this ain’t one,” adds Jordan Ivey.

“Huge disappointment, I’ve stayed in some great hotels, the best hotels, believe me the best. This place… total loser,” writes Michael Huffman.

SFU Marketing Professor Lindsay Meredith expects some people to stay away at first, but not forever. “This will all blow over and he may well find out he’s got a pretty loyal clientele come back to those hotels. Right now, it’s a little bit dicey for those folks to be seen in there, at least some of them. But for others like hard right-wingers, they don’t give a damn.”

Meredith does point out the tower’s condos did sell out without any problems.
