VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – No word tonight on the condition of a person rescued from an East Vancouver house fire.
It broke out at around 4 p.m. and flames quickly spread from the house on East 5th Avenue near Kaslo Street.
At one point, the smoke could be seen as far away as the Nanaimo Street SkyTrain Station.

The cause is under investigation.
