CHICAGO, IL. (NEWS 1130) – The Canucks last eastern road swing of the season starts tonight in Chicago. Vancouver will play four straight on the road before returning to Rogers Arena. Vancouver faces an extremely tough test this evening up against a Blackhawks team that has a comfortable eight point lead in the Western Conference.
Jack Skille returns to the lineup for the first time in over a month and he says the Canucks will have to limit their mistakes if they want any chance of winning.
“They are a team that take advantage of the turnovers. They have a really strong transition game. It is how they fuel their offense a lot of the time. We have to take care of the puck in all of the zones and play a strong simple north and south game. There is no special recipe. We have to limit our turnovers.”
“When you’re injured you miss the game a lot. I’m happy to be back in the lineup and in the room with the guys. It’s a good feeling.” pic.twitter.com/kEH3tQQTfR

Bo Horvat has had success in his career against the Hawks with eight points in eight games. He’s hoping for more of the same this evening. “You are playing one of the best teams in the league and they have been for five or six years. They have proven themselves and you have to get up for these games. It is definitely something I look forward to.”

Ryan Miller is expected to get the start in net for the Canucks. Chicago will counter with Cory Crawford between the pipes.
This is the third and final meeting of the season between the two teams. The Blackhawks defeated the Canucks 4-3 on November 19th and 4-2 on January 22nd.
Earlier this week the Blackhawks clinched a playoff spot for the ninth consecutive season.
The puck drops at 5:30 p.m. and you can watch the game on Sportsnet.
