Whistler murder trial nears conclusion

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – The trial of a man accused of planning the murder of a teen in Whistler two years ago is nearing its conclusion.
Today marks the last scheduled day of proceedings at BC Supreme Court in Downtown Vancouver related to the killing of Luka Gordic in 2015.
What we know about the case is 15 people swarmed Gordic in Whistler Village after he became separated from a group of friends. One of those who surrounded him delivered a fatal stab to his heart.
Arvin Golic, the man on trial in connection to the death, had hours prior to the murder threatened to kill Gordic, that’s according to Golic’s ex-girlfriend and a friend of hers.
Golic is charged with second-degree murder, accused of masterminding the attack and being at the scene of the crime. He was seen in court rocking back and forth while staring at the floor, occasionally looking up.
There are also three youths accused in Gordic’s killing, but they can’t be named due to their age. They’re currently awaiting a separate verdict in the case.
The feud between the pair is believed to have begun with Gordic telling Golic to stop being abusive towards his former girlfriend.
