Richmond murder victim identified, known to police

RICHMOND (NEWS 1130) – Investigators have identified the victim of a deadly Richmond shooting on Sunday, saying the murder was targeted and the victim was known to police.

24-year-old Jasdeep Singh Klair was gunned down while driving his car shortly after 2 p.m. yesterday.

He was found dead after his car crashed into some bushes near Granville and No.2 Road. Police officers were alerted by witnesses who said they heard gunshots.

The suspect’s vehicle -a 2010, orange KIA Forte- was reported stolen from the Surrey area in March. It was recovered less than an hour after the shooting, but no arrests have been made.
