LANGLEY (NEWS 1130) – Mounties in Langley need your help trying to identify a woman whose body was found in a pond in Campbell Valley Park on Monday afternoon.

The body was discovered by a group of about 10 elementary school children who were on a nature walk with their teachers.

The RCMP’s Dive Team was brought in to recover the body and investigators with the Serious Crime unit are working with the Coroner to figure out what happened.

The woman is believed to be in her 60s and police don’t suspect foul play. “Investigators are reaching out to nearby jurisdictions to determine if a female matching this description has been reported missing. Additionally, a canvas of the area will continue in an attempt to identify her as she was not carrying any identification,” says Corporal Holly Largy.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Langley RCMP at 604.532.3200. Police say more information will be released sometime in the next few days.
