Beautiful BC gets free advertising on popular American talk show

NEW YORK (NEWS 1130) – A popular US talk show host gave Vancouver a free tourism boost this morning. Kelly Ripa is back in New York after spending several days in BC last week.
“It is the most beautiful, pristine, unspoiled place we have ever….(beautiful British Columbia. That’s what it says on the license plates, I think) Yep. Beautiful, beautiful… It is the most, you guys, I can not tell you, I, I was so blown away. There was this gorgeous city and mountains –we are surrounded by mountains and water.”
Ripa started off today’s episode of Kelly and Ryan telling guest co-host Jerry O’Connell and the audience about her family’s visit to Vancouver.
“It was vacation porn.”
“Well (laughter) it wasn’t –everything was from some sort of mountain vista that you and Mark and one of your sons had just hiked to the top of.”
“We climbed every mountain.”
“Is there a filter on that?”
“No! (it makes you use the filter) There’s no filter. Filter-free! Vancouver –hashtag filter free Vancouver. Now, I’m like, yeah, you’ve got a great country, eh? (cheers) So fun.”
Ripa and her children, Michael, Lola and Joaquin, were visiting her husband Mark Consuelos who’s in town filming new episodes of Riverdale.
