In the Community with Stephanie Florian: A celebration of food, culture and sport

What a weekend! I feel like I put on 10lbs with all the glorious food events that went on around the Lower Mainland!

The Brunch Affair at the Pipeshop in North Vancouver did not disappoint. In fact, it was the first festival of its kind where you can enjoy brunch all day in support of Canucks Place and was packed and well worth the visit. I highly recommend checking this out when they bring it back in August. As you can see from the photos, I found a few lucky Neil Diamond fans!

From there I threw on my fancy attire to find out what all the buzz was about at the Deighton Cup. Not as stuffy as you might think, Hastings Racetrack hosts a summer day of fun at the races everyone needs to put on their summer bucket list! As for style, anything goes and it’s more like a Vancouver reunion than any event I’ve ever attended. Check it out next year, it’s a fun one.

Nothing like starting the day with Ribs for breakfast! Port Moody Ribfest was packed from the get-go and bustling with Neil Diamond fans who were beyond thrilled when I offered them up some tickets courtesy of News1130! Now in it’s 3rd year….RibFest is a must!

Last but not least, I hit up the ultimate community event for the 10th annual Surrey Fusion Festival. Celebrating culture, diversity and global peace. Did I mention the food is to die for?
