Convicted killer in Coquitlam arrested

COQUITLAM (NEWS 1130) – RCMP have confirmed a convicted killer who went missing from Coquitlam’s Forensic Psychiatric Hospital has been found and is in police custody.

54-year-old Terrance Scott Giesbrecht was reported missing earlier today, after having last been seen on Friday. It’s unclear why Mounties waited until today to tell the public he’s missing.

Giesbrecht was convicted of killing two men in Fort St John back in 2004 but he was found not criminally responsible.

This is not the first time he’s gone missing from the hospital. He failed to return in September of 2009 after being let out on a day pass.
