Body found after man jumps from White Rock pier

WHITE ROCK (NEWS 1130) – A man who went into the water near the White Rock pier overnight has died, according to the Canadian Coast Guard.
Mounties requested the Coast Guard’s help just after midnight after the man jumped off the pier.
A hovercraft was dispatched from a base in Richmond and arrived about an hour later. Not long after, the body was found.
The circumstances around the death remain unclear, and the man’s identity has not been confirmed.
The coroner has been called to the scene.
