Mystery money found in North Vancouver library book

By

NORTH VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A very honest person has turned in a load of cash they found in a book they borrowed from the library.

Last month, what RCMP describe as a “significant amount of money” was returned to the North Vancouver City Library.

The Canadian currency has been handed over to Mounties.

“Library records have been checked. No recent user of the book is missing any money,” says Corporal Richard De Jong.

Police aren’t saying what book the money was found in nor the amount — but De Jong says it could have been enough for rent.

“If the rightful owner of the cash can provide details on the amount of money along with the name of book, police would be pleased to return the money to them!”

If you think the cash belongs to you, you’re asked to call North Vancouver RCMP at 604-985-1311.
