VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Metro Vancouver has just ended the Air Quality Advisory that was in effect for the entire Lower Mainland and the Fraser Valley.
It was in place due to elevated concentrations of fine particulate matter thanks to wildfires burning in the US from as far as northern California.
Air quality throughout the region has now improved as a result of a change in the weather pattern.
Metro Vancouver warns that if smoke from these fires causes air quality to deteriorate again, another air quality advisory may be initiated.
