One man dead after Chilliwack shooting

CHILLIWACK (NEWS 1130) – One man has died after a shooting in a residential area of Chilliwack early this morning.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation team has taken over the investigation.
Staff Sergeant Stephen Vrolyk says officers don’t believe it was a random attack.
“We received a report of shots fired in the 9500 block of Williams St at approximately 4:20 in the morning. And when we arrived there was a singular male victim.”
“At this point I can’t get into the intricacies of the investigation itself, we’r still in the early, preliminary stages of the file.”
